Property Overview

Sirru Fen Fushi – Private Lagoon Resort is located on a natural island in the northern Shaviyani Atoll. Its Dhivehi name means “Secret Water Island”, a reference to the vast private lagoon surrounding the resort. Beach, water and jungle villas are spread across the island, while the 200-metre infinity pool runs from one side of the property to the other. The Coralarium, created by British artist Jason deCaires Taylor, combines an underwater art installation with a coral-regeneration project. Guests can also visit the Sustainability Lab, where discarded plastic is transformed into new objects.

How far is the nearest beach?

The resort occupies its own island and provides direct access to the beach. Beach villas stand on the sand only a few steps from the sea, while the property’s overwater villas offer direct access to the lagoon from their terraces.

Distance from Airport

Sirru Fen Fushi is reached by a seaplane flight from Velana International Airport. The journey takes approximately 55 minutes and travels north to the resort’s location in Shaviyani Atoll.

The resort has 120 private villas divided between beach, jungle and overwater settings. Every category has a private pool and the assistance of a personal Villa Host. Options range from the 164-square-metre Sunrise Water Villa with Pool to spacious multi-bedroom beach and water villas suitable for families or groups. The Safari Beach Villa and Safari Tented Jungle Villa provide a different layout, combining tented accommodation with 525 square metres of indoor and outdoor space. Larger choices include the seven-bedroom Sirru Residence, formed from three connected beachfront villas.

Sirru Fen Fushi has four main dining experiences and two bars. Raha Market provides international all-day dining, while Kata specialises in Japanese cuisine. Azure serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and Spice Box offers relaxed Asian food near the beach. ONU ONU Bar is built from bamboo and provides an informal beachfront setting for drinks. Activities extend from guided snorkelling and diving to motorised and non-motorised water sports through the Sub Oceanic Watersports & Dive Center. Arufen Spa covers approximately 2,000 square metres and provides both indoor and outdoor wellness spaces.
