For travellers who want to experience Victoria Falls without giving up the comfort and character of a well-established five-star hotel, this is a strong choice. The Victoria Falls holiday package combines return flights from South Africa, airport transfers and the selected meal arrangement, making it easy to focus on the destination rather than organising each element separately.

Property Overview
Built in 1904, The Victoria Falls Hotel is an Edwardian-style property with a long connection to the development of the Cape-to-Cairo railway. Its terraces, established gardens and views towards the Victoria Falls Bridge give the hotel a distinctive historic setting, while the public spaces retain the formal character associated with a traditional grand hotel.
The property was extensively redecorated in 2013, bringing its rooms and shared areas up to date without replacing the architectural style for which it is known. Guests can spend time beside the pool, walk through the grounds or settle on Stanley’s Terrace, where the bridge and the spray rising above the Falls form part of the outlook.
● ● ●
Distance from Victoria Falls National Park
The Falls are approximately a ten-minute walk from the hotel via a dedicated path, allowing guests to reach the main attraction without depending on a transfer for every visit. The property also overlooks Batoka Gorge, with views towards the Victoria Falls Bridge and the spray rising above the Falls.
Its position close to the town’s restaurants, shops and activity providers makes the hotel a practical base for exploring the wider destination.
● ● ●
Distance from Airport
Victoria Falls International Airport is approximately 25 minutes from the hotel by road. Private airport transfers can be arranged on request, offering a straightforward journey between the terminal and the property.
This relatively short transfer means guests can settle in soon after arrival and begin exploring the destination without a lengthy onward journey.

Rooms
The Victoria Falls Hotel has 149 rooms and suites across a broad selection of categories:
Standard Rooms: The hotel’s entry-level category, suited to guests who plan to spend much of their stay exploring the destination.
Classic Rooms: Traditionally styled accommodation providing the main facilities expected from a five-star hotel.
Stables Signature Wing Rooms: A collection of 44 rooms in a separate wing with its own central courtyard, private lounge, dedicated check-in area and direct access to the front lawns. The wing is particularly suitable for small families and groups travelling together.
Premium Rooms: A more spacious option for guests wanting additional comfort.
Deluxe Suites and Executive Suites: Larger accommodation with expanded living space and more elaborate interiors.
Royal Batoka Suite and Presidential Suite: The hotel’s highest room categories, designed for guests seeking considerably more space and privacy.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Listed room facilities include air-conditioning, satellite television, an en-suite bathroom, minibar, safe, hairdryer and room service, although the exact amenities may vary by category.

Food & Drink
The hotel offers several dining settings with clearly different styles.
The Livingstone Room is the formal dinner restaurant, serving à la carte and table d’hôte menus from Monday to Saturday. The Edwardian-style dining room was refurbished in 2013, and a smart-casual dress code applies. Shorts, sandals, sports shoes and safari wear are not permitted.
Jungle Junction is a more relaxed option for breakfast and dinner. Buffet meals feature African flavours, while traditional music and dance performances take place during the evening. The restaurant looks towards the gorge and the spray rising above the Falls.
Stanley’s Terrace serves drinks and light meals throughout the day. Traditional afternoon tea is available daily, accompanied by views of the Victoria Falls Bridge and the Falls’ spray.
Stanley’s Bar is a small bar serving cocktails and classic gin and tonics, with space for around 30 guests.
Light lunches and drinks are also available beside the pool, while 24-hour room service offers a selection of meals and snacks in the guestrooms.

Experiences & Activities
The hotel’s location makes it easy to combine a visit to the Falls with the many activities available around the destination. Guests can follow the hotel’s walking path to the Falls independently or arrange a guided visit for additional historical and geographical context.
Traditional afternoon tea on Stanley’s Terrace is one of the hotel’s signature experiences. Other activities available in the area include helicopter flights, Zambezi River cruises, white-water rafting, canoeing and experiences centred on the Victoria Falls Bridge.
Cultural entertainment accompanies dinner at Jungle Junction, while wildlife excursions to nearby reserves and national parks can also be arranged. Most activities take place outside the hotel, carry an additional charge and remain subject to weather, river levels and seasonal operating conditions.
