Blogger is an online content management system developed in the United States that allows for multi-user blogs with time-stamped updates. Pyra Labs created it before being purchased by Google in 2003. The blogs are hosted by Google and can be accessed via a subdomain of blogspot.com. Blogs may also be viewed from a user-owned custom domain by directing the domain to Google's servers using DNS.

Until May 1, 2010, Google Blogger also allowed users to publish blogs and websites to their own web hosting server via FTP. All such blogs and webpages were required to switch to a blogspot.com subdomain or to use DNS to refer their own domain to Google's servers. Despite its loss in popularity in the United States, Google Blogger maintains a large worldwide user base and is accessible in over 60 languages.
