What to do in Nairobi, Kenya

Enjoy Nature at Nairobi National Park

To the south of the city, Nairobi National Park is one of the few places on Earth where wild animals survive with massive structures and urban environs. It was the first national park in Kenya and is the only protected area in the world to be so near to a national capital.

The National Park is the most visited site in all of Nairobi. Visitors may go on an exciting safari drive through the park's lush grasslands in search of wildlife animals, including Black rhinos, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, zebras, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and more than 400 species of birds.

The thrills and excitement at this landmark are something that every tourist will experience. Come here with your friends or family using Kenya special deals to familiarise yourself with nature in its most pristine state.

Learn About City History and Culture at Nairobi National Museum

If you want to learn learning about the fascinating history and culture of the city the National Museum is a place for you. It houses an extensive collection of cultural artifacts dating back to the first ancient relics.

More than 900 stuffed birds, and animals, Skeletal remains of the ancient human species Homo habilis from Lake Turkana discovered by Richard and Mary Leakey, a stunning collection of Kenyan art, and other cultural artifacts are found in the museum. These are enough to entertain any visitor.

There's a cafe, a gift store, and a gallery inside the museum as well as permanent and temporary exhibit halls.

Feed Giraffes at Giraffe Centre

This wildlife preserve, within a few miles of Nairobi National Park, was established in 1979, and since, it has served as a haven for giraffes.

It is where visitors can attract Rothschild's critically endangered giraffes by kissing them, scratching their ears, or feeding them. Those that approach a giraffe should expect to be greeted with the sweet smell of their breath and a soft lick from their long, sandpaper tongues.

Enjoy at Karura Forest

Away from the bustle of the city, do you long for some quiet time? It looks like good fortune has smiled upon you. Karura, the largest urban forest in Nairobi, provides a welcome reprieve from the hectic pace of life in Nairobi's urban core. It is an excellent place for those who are looking for a quiet place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

You'll find a plethora of attractions and activities to enjoy. The primary attractions of the forest include a small bamboo forest, marshes, a 15-meter-high waterfall, and some Mau Mau caves you can explore. Keep your camera handy since there are a variety of species in the forest to photograph, such as dik-dik, Colobus monkeys, and African civets.

Biking is another favorite activity along the red clay trails. Relax with a snack and a drink at the riverside cafe after a day of exploring the forest.

This is the main reason why the Creative City concept is so important to the development of the city. This remarkable location and natural resource is one of the largest classified forests in the world, located entirely within the boundaries of a city.

Watch the Sunset at Kenyatta International Conference Centre(KICC)

KICC, named after the country's first president, is the tallest and unique cylindrical building with a rooftop observation deck that affords visitors a beautiful panorama of the surrounding area. You can visit till 8 o'clock and watch the sunset over the city.
